One-Stop Shopping for Your Disneyland Vacation

Tickets and Reservations for a Disneyland Trip

By Betsy Malloy, About.com

Instead of running around to a bunch of websites to get all the tickets and reservations you need for your Disneyland trip, you can get to them all from right here.

1. RideMax for Disneyland

RideMax gives you a schedule that keeps you on the rides and out of the lines, and we never go to Disneyland without it. It can save you so much time that you may be able to stay fewer days, which is why we recommend buying it before you do anything else.

2. Airline Tickets

If you're flying in, you can use Kayak.com to compare the prices of all the airlines at once. To be sure you've checked all the options, you'll have to check rates at Southwest Airlines separately.

There are five commercial airports in the Los Angeles area: Los Angeles International (LAX), John Wayne/Orange County (SNA), Long Beach (LGB), Burbank (BUR), and Ontario (ONT).

3. Airport Shuttle

If you're staying close enough to Disneyland to walk or use the Anaheim Resort Trolley, you won't need a rental car, but you will need to get from the airport to Disneyland. A shuttle service or bus is one way to do it. You can catch a shuttle on the spot at area airports, but if you'd rather reserve ahead, these are some of the most popular area shuttle companies.

4. Car Rental

If you want to rent a car, Kayak can check the prices of many options for you.

5. Find a Place to Stay

Deciding where to stay depends on your budget, preferences, who's traveling with you and many other factors. Our lists of recommended hotels should make your job easier and help you end up in a nicer place at a lower cost.

6. Anaheim Resort Trolley

If your hotel is too far away from Disneyland to walk, the trolley provides an easy way to get around without having to drive. Drivers don't sell tickets, and you can pick them up from kiosks in some of the area hotels, but the easiest thing to do is order them online in advance and have them delivered to your hotel. Before you buy, check to be sure your hotel is on their route.

8. Southern California Citypass

If you're going to visit more than one Southern California attraction, the Citypass may save you money. It includes the most popular attractions in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego and can save up to 30% if you're going to all of them. You can buy the passes online in advance, or at the gate of any of the participating attractions, but buying in advance will keep you out of ticket lines.

9. Disneyland Tours, Character Breakfasts, Dining

If you want to take one of the Disneyland tours, reserve a character breakfast or have a meal at the Blue Bayou or other Disneyland restaurants (includes many of the ones in Downtown Disney), reserve ahead, as much as 30 days in advance. If you wait until you get there, it will be too late. This one needs to be done by phone at 714-781-4400.

10. Medieval Times

It's the middle ages all over again at this dinner and entertainment extravaganza. You can watch a jousting tournament with swordplay, falconry, sorcery and romance while eating a four-course banquet served (the kids all like this) in medieval, pre-silverware fashion.

11. Pirates Dinner Adventure

They've got an authentic recreation of an 18th-century Spanish galleon anchored in a 250,000 gallon indoor lagoon for the pirates to perform on, and the guests get to join in the fun. It's dinner theater for the whole family.
